Community Programs Our Programs During Covid-19

Find out how Multicultural Services are innovating the way we provide services in response to the COVID-19 crisis.

Settlement Support

Our Settlement team conducts regular welfare checks with community members and ensures up-to-date and trustworthy information about COVID-19 is disseminated. We focus on sharing information in community languages, including producing voice-over and video messages tailored to clients where English is not their first language.

Food Share and Take-Home Meal Packs

We are providing weekly food boxes and take-home meal packs to community members needing support. Pick-up food boxes at our community pantry at The Salvation Army (Hilltop Cafe), or request delivery in limited circumstances.

Casework support

We continue to offer casework support over the phone and other online platforms. The main areas that community members are seeking assistance are in employment support, completing Centrelink forms, home-based schooling and accessing healthcare.

We support organisations to work with community members who do not speak English as a first language.
