Member for Bendigo West Maree Edwards MP today launched Loddon Campaspe Multicultural
Services Multicultural Storytime Program, which will see stories and songs shared in Karen and Dari.
The program uses the power of storytelling to:
• support Victorian children’s connection to their language and culture
• improve the health literacy of Victorian parents with young children
• provide culturally appropriate information about health services to families
The 2023/24 Victorian State Budget allocated $6 million in funding over four years for the
Multicultural Storytime Grants Program.
Loddon Campaspe Multicultural Services has been granted $200,000 in funding over four years to
deliver the program.
