Loddon Campaspe Multicultural Services – Public Statement on Christchurch Attacks

Multicultural Services strongly condemns the acts of violence committed against Muslim worshipers in Christchurch on Friday.

We extend our deepest sympathies and thoughts to all the victims, survivors, their families, friends and communities. We stand in solidarity with everyone in Bendigo, Christchurch and people around the world, affected by these horrific attacks. We stand against all forms of hate, racism and extremism.

All people should be free to practice their culture, beliefs and religion in safety and without fear. We urge all political, cultural and community leaders in Bendigo to show leadership by championing messages of peace, inclusion and harmony.
