Multicultural Services strongly condemns the horrific bombings in Sri Lanka over the Easter weekend. Innocent people have been killed while they peacefully practice their religion.
We extend our deepest sympathies and thoughts to all the victims, survivors, their families, friends and communities. We stand in solidarity with the Sri Lankan community in Bendigo, as well as the people of Sri Lanka and those around the world who have had loved ones killed or injured.
All people should be free to practice their culture, beliefs and religion in safety and without fear. We will continue to work to promote unity, respect and acceptance.
