Reconciliation Action Plan
LCMS’s goal is to be inclusive in our work with multicultural communities along with working and contributing to national reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
LCMS is dedicated to ensuring connection to the Country. We have commenced our planning toward the REFLECT RAP. The aim of this Reconciliation Action Plan is to help build relationships, respect and opportunities for change towards a better future.
As we work toward this, we are hoping to further our already established connection to Dja Dja Wurrung, and build connections with the Peoples of Taungarung, Wurundjeri, Woi Wurrung, Barapa Barapa, Yorta Yorta and all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders that may live in these areas.
We want to continue to make sure we run our programs and events with respect toward the lands and the traditional owners and peoples that live on it.
Our focus in the REFLECT Phase is to work on building:
- Relationships
- Respect
- Opportunities
- Governance
We will be using support tools from Reconciliation Australia, knowledge from the community as a whole and embracing what Reconciliation looks like to all Multicultural communities.
